Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol III

Yeahhhh finally I got my first Book of Shadows:)) and it is amazinggggg!!!!

I got my first Urban Decay palette this summer. It is the Summer of Love palette.

I really liked the texture of the eye shadows as much as I liked the colors:) Especially Maui Wowie is my favourite cuz it works great with my favourite eye shadow MAC Smut:)) Here are the swatches from Summer of Love palette.(sorry for my poor photo skills, you know I am new at this:))

Since I loved this palette, I started looking for other palettes from UD. I've checked couple of them but I wasn't so impressed with the colors to pay 60 something dollars:) I liked one color from one palette another from the other one:))I even looked for the Naked Palette and I liked it but they were out of stock( and they are still out of stock.I am on the waiting list at Sephora and there are more than 100 people before me on the list:(( and they said they had received a couple of them and they had been waiting for 2 months when they had received them:((() Anyways I went to Sephora to get a UDPP limited edition one and also look for the Naked Palette:) and I saw this new Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol III:))) I loveddd all the colors in it. It is I think the best Book of Shadows:))Colors are great, quality is great(no need to mention:))

Here are all the swatches and pictures of the Book of Shadows Vol III:)

Isn't it adorable?:))

My first Hi:)

Helloooooo everybody:)
After following a bunch of cosmetics and makeup related blogs and youtube channels, I have decided to have my own blog(woohoo:))
So this will be my first post and you may not believe it but I have been thinking about this for so long:)What would be the best first post? Hmmmm I DONO:)
My possible topics were
1. My skin care routine
2. My HG(holy grail) products(products that I can't live without)
3. The products that I am loving(recently)
and so on...

I think between those, I am gonna go for #2:)

Here it comessss!!!

My HG Products

1.Urban Decay Primer Potion:
OMG!!!This product is a miracle:) I don't know what I was doing before UDPP. I have really oily eye lids, that means I wasn't able to wear eye shadows more than an hour. Then, I started to use UDPP about a year and a half ago and yeahh now I am a huge eye shadow junkie(too bad for my budget though:)) eye shadows stay the whole day without creasing or fading. It is amazing! If you haven't tried it yet, trust me, you are missing a lot:)

2.Bobby Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner(Jet Black):
If you ask me what the essential makeup products are, I will tell you an eyeliner and a mascara. I think if you are in hurry and you don't wanna go out looking like a zombie an eyeliner and a mascara can save your life. And actually for a really long time an eyeliner and a mascara was my daily makeup routine.(until I start using UDPP) I was using liquid liner and pencil eyeliner. Then I discovered Bobby Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. I bought it to use for my waterline(yeah that's my another problematic area, nothing really works on my waterline(GOSH waterproof liquid liner works but it's kinda weird to have liquid liner on your waterline)) and i did use it on my waterline for awhile. Then one day( after stopped using it on my waterline and keeping it in my drawer for sometime) I tried it on my eyelids and since then I can't use liquid liners:)
What do I like about Bobby Brown Gel Liner? It is black black:).It stays all day.It doesn't dry out fast. So basically I LOVE IT:)

3.MAC 217 Blending Brush:
I have a whole bunch of brushes but I am only using 5-6 of them everyday:) Especially when it comes to the blending brushes, I had no favourite until I got my MAC 217. I decided to buy it like 7 months ago but I always postponed it cuz every time there were some limited edition products that I "needed" to buy:)So finally I got it last month and since then I have been using it every single day. It is incredible! I heard people saying "if I had to pick one brush to do my eye makeup, I would pick MAC 217" but I was always "ahh come on it is a blending brush you can't really use it as your overall eyelid brush".You know what, yes you can:)If you want to get one brush from MAC, this is the one you need to get:)

4.MAC Brush Cleanser:
I think this is a product everybody(who has brushes) needs to have. I have had mine for years and I have been using it almost everyday to clean at least 3 brushes.I like to leave my brushes clean every time I use them.(Shamefully, I am not good at cleaning my face brushes every time I use them, and they are the ones that cause the most damage:(() Anyways, my recommendation for this product is, get a spray bottle from a dollar store and either use the spray head on MAC's original bottle or just put the product in the new bottle. I dono why MAC is still wanna keep that not so efficient lid but as usual, people have already found the way to make it efficient(spray bottles):)
P.S:You still need to wash your brushes once a week but this will keep them clean for daily usage:)

5.Blistex Lip Medex:
I love lip balms especially in the winter but I am kinda picky:)Actually not really pick, I just prefer the lip balms that has mint(or menthol) flavour in it,otherwise I don't feel like it is working(I know it is weird:)) Around 5 years ago,my friend's lips got really dry and chapped. They were too bad, they were even bleeding. So we went to the pharmacy and ask them what she should use. We were expecting them to give some kinda medicine(like real medicine:)) but instead, they suggested her to use Blistex Lip Medex. She started to use it and in one day her lips were much better and the second day they were totally healed and soft.It was amazing how this product worked.Since than this lip balm is one of my HGs and I recommend it to everybody:)

6.MAC Smut Eye Shadow:
I first saw this shadow on one of lollipop26 's videos on youtube. Of course, right away I went to a MAC store to try it. Even though my first impression in the store wasn't really good, I decided to give it a try.OMG! When you try it on your hand,it doesn't look special but when you put it on your eyelids with a brush(especially as a crease color) it looks amazing. It is an interesting color between brown and gray(with burgundy sparkles ):) Just go and try if you have a MAC store close by:)
Since I started to use Smut, I have been looking for a good overall eye lid color that can go with Smut. I have 3 favourites: MAC Patina(it's hard describe this color. It is like light brown and it also has a touch of pink(i think:))), Urban Decay Maui Wowie(light gold) and Stila Cloud(light brownish gray).

7.Dry Fast Top Coats(Seche Vite/ Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat):
As you can understand from the heading, I have
2 favourites:)Recently, I have been using Seche Vite and I love it but I can't say it is better than Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. Everybody on youtube was talking about Seche Vite so of course I had to try:))) I liked it but I didn't find it so different than what I had been using for years( Sally Hansen Insta-Dri). I have been using Seche Vite because it is cheaper and doing exactly the same thing with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. I am sure the prices are varying from country to country. What I can say is buy whichever is cheaper cuz in my opinion, they do the same thing:) But without them nail polishes don't look the same:)

8.MAC Cleanse Off Oil:
Again I think I saw this on one of lollipop26 's videos. She said this oil is the only one that didn't break her out. So, as a person who has acne prone skin, I was sold:) I don't use it everyday(just being lazy and I actually keep forgetting:)) but when I use it,I can see the difference. It cleanse all traces of makeup including waterproof makeup. And the best thing about this product is, when you start washing it off, it becomes white liquid and washes away easily which also makes it great for cleaning your foundation and eyeliner brushes cuz when you wash them, they don't feel oily(I once clean my brushes with olive oil, which I obviously put too much, and the result was horrible, it took me a lot of washes to get rid off the oily feeling.:(()

9.Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturizer:
Anddd the last but not the least, my HG moisturizer. Last couple of years I was having dryness problems with around my nose. Especially in the winter, this area was getting so dry and starting to peel off. Besides looking ugly, it was actually painful. I bought different serums for hydration but I was so lazy to put them on( and of course keep forgetting) and my skin was burning when I put them on. I read good reviews about Clinique Moisture Surge in the Internet and I decided to try. I have been using it for more than a year and my second jar is almost finished. It is absolutely THE BEST moisturizer!!! It is oil free which is good cuz my skin is combination to oily and acne prone so I don't need oil at all:)) It can be used as a mask(if you want) but I haven't tried it cuz I never need to:)) I didn't have dryness problem around my nose since I started to use it. It didn't burn my skin cuz there were no irritated areas(thanks to Clinique Moisture Surge:)).The only downside about this product is the price:( It is more expensive than other Clinique moisturizes(at least the ones that I can use) but it's definitely worth it.

Wow it has been more than 3 hours since I started to write this post.It was fun though:))I think I am little slow. What do you think?:)))I'll be faster next time(hopefully:))
See you guys soon;)
